Nennings > Once Were Kings
The gangling Nennings are tall and slender with strange oblong faces edged and weather-beaten like the face of a wild dog or horse hardened by the harsh wastelands. Nennings are among the mourning people yet most of them have strayed from the path of the great mother to become fierce warriors and hunters.
Ruling great parts of the ancient world Nennings were technologically advanced, educated and wise unrivalled as the major culture of the prehistoric world. So, what caused the fall of the Nennings? Their pride and thirst for power. Beguiled by Gleyk usurpers the main Nenning kingdoms were eventually poisoned through the worship of a false god, Glaudv, the Worm God who lured them into fighting Khalens, Blonians and Novines during the Scarab Wars. Drowned by feuds and warfare the Nenning kingdoms collapsed and were later flooded by Novine colonies and conquests leaving no more than a scattered mess of tribes and strongholds. Now the Nennings guard their last remaining strongholds fiercely and although they trade with both the Regno and Concordia they prefer to be left alone by the growing civilization around them.
